Toni launched First4Maths Academy in 2023 after being a Director and Mathematics Consultant at First4Maths for 12 years. Prior to this she taught across KS2 and was Mathematics Subject Leader and Assessment Lead within her school. She also held the role of Primary Mathematics Consultant for Cheshire West and Chester for 7 years. During this time, Toni gained her NPQH and a Post Graduate Qualification in Gifted and Talented Education and used this work to support the development of training to ensure effective challenge for all children.
Toni is passionate about empowering, inspiring and supporting teachers and leaders to ensure that they are able to develop a love of mathematics for the children that they work with. She had a vision to create a cost-effective solution for schools and has worked with her team of consultants and teachers to create First4Maths Academy.
Toni holds the role of Mathematics Lead at a local Multi-Academy Trust of 9 schools and is a Governor at two schools in another MAT. Through this work in schools and through her role as a consultant for First4Maths, she understands the wide range of challenges that schools face on a daily basis. She uses this knowledge to ensure that the support provided within First4Maths Academy can be effectively implemented to ensure strong outcomes for children.
